As interim CIO for a Denver based franchisor, re-established confidence in mission critical portal with the client’s customers and partners. Led the successful re-write of a 7 year old portal coordinating a team of 20 product managers, user leads, business analysts, architects, program managers and developers. Created virtual software development teams using onshore and offshore resources to achieve 35% overall cost reductions. Developed web sites for several small to medium sized Denver companies. Provided “CIO by-the-slice” services working directly with three CEOs.
ShipConnect Technologies, Inc., Greenwood Village, CO 2006

The ShipConnect portal is a B2B/B2C portal that implements a set of web services enabling online shippers with choices for a variety of options for shipping almost any item regardless of size or whether the item is packaged or unpackaged. The company is currently seeking methods to further validate within the marketplace.

After 18 months the board decided that economies of scale could be realized by continuing to grow the technology and business concept within a Seattle based sister company. Since my family was committed to the Denver area I decided to begin a Denver based IT consulting business, ITMPACT.
Navis Logistics Network, Greenwood Village, CO 2001 – 2005

Hired as member of the Executive team to reinvent and re-establish the company as the industry leader following a 65% erosion of revenues over 10 years. Established best practice IT policies and procedures for IT development, documentation, maintenance, disaster recovery and security. Managed a cross-functional team of 25 to implement cost saving and revenue producing IT systems for 500 employees in hundreds of locations.
Developed an Enterprise Portal foundational for new revenue generation of $44M over 3 years.
Rapidly launched new B2B business at a cost of less than $1M by integrating established portal components from Salesforce.com and Intacct.com with custom developed components.
Reduced Franchise support costs by 70% or $1.1M annually by developing efficient web based systems for training new franchisees, compliance to brand standards, remote support, self service portals, royalty submission and business analysis.
Leveraged the tremendous success of IT projects within Navis’ core businesses to persuade the parent company to fund $600k to prototype the development of an eCommerce based packaging & shipping engine to process real time quotes and orders for complex shipments.
Achieved eBay partner level XML access to 24 eBay web servers after passing strict load tests.
Collaborated with the Marketing Department and user interface experts to develop extremely easy to use “Smart Interfaces” that vary input requirements according to shipment complexity.

Earned $7M in revenues by successfully managing business unit expectations and scope for a large NY based health insurance company to win successive project phases for a large Enterprise Web Portal (Provider Portal, Employer Portal, Employee Portal, and Member Portal).
